The sex IS explosive, the potential of the relationship exciting and frightening. I gave more of myself to my Aquarian than I have to anybody. It was also very heartbreaking.

Three of my closest ex-boyfriends are Aquarius... they were born within days of my grandfather.

The first was a total sweetheart, not quite the fiery sexlife you speak of here but a fiery love relationship. He's the one who is never far from my mind, even 14 years later because his memory is comforting and we had lots of good times. The second I think was supposed to be my soul/life mate, but he was already married and felt resigned to be with a woman he really didn't seem to love. Bigtime sexual tension but he also had outlook on life problems. The third was barely more than a fling + a friend and the sex part was on fire... except he actually tried to use that against me.. only time any guy has ever done that to me!

Update: I have made the most major change in my life and am now living with my Aquarian. Here's the goofy stuff - everything has felt right from the beginning - EVERYTHING. I feel so confident about the longevity of this - I'm not the least bit scared. I'm glad I did this (finally). Ditto from him.

Wow -- so interesting to see the huge number of "No -- run away!" responses to this question. I've been in a long-term relationship with a solid Aquarius (I don't know offhand what his rising sign is) for over 11 years. We certainly have our share of dissonance, but the foundation of love and respect is amazing and positive.
Perhaps I am just incredibly fortunate, or we've somehow been able to just deal with our individual foibles -- I know I am not the easiest person to live with! :P
