but I do ask myself that question too...

it is usually because we are busy working on projects... i.e. ourselves.
then we get to a certain point where we have reached the summit of all the goals we have laid before ourselves.... this can be both god and bad.
we work very hard for what we have (spiritual, material, physical, whatever) and when we have finally reached our full potentials, it is very hard for us to find another who is at the same level.
it is either that ,or, as i wrote before, that we are woking on ourselves.... when this happens we tend to go into seclusion and prefer solitude to companionship.

not always. i've been with my husband for 9 years & was never single before that.

i will say however, although i wasn't exactly single, i refused to get involved in the whole long-term-commitment thing for a long time. i am very picky about who i choose to allow to be a partner. i've only really had about 4 people ever that i considered good enough to be a partner.

and it seems to me that a lot of caps are that way. they love the relationships, the sex, the security, but aren't too keen on letting just anyone in their world.

they are not "always", but we are prone to be single.
We can name different reasons but most probably... we are the main reason, that includes: our standards, our life-style, our attitude, our inner fears.

Excepting your fears, I don't think that you have to worry; the others define you as... Capricorn or whatever influences you have from others signs.

I don´t long for a relationship, cuz my work and my friends take all my time. I´m also one of the odd people who likes being alone rather then with other people.

I´ve only started relationships when I fell inlove, and that always turned out to be a bad move. But who knows, maybe one day I´ll meet the right guy.

Personally, I just never wanted to be with someone just for the sake of being with someone. I've always been very content to be by myself. I'm good company. Up until now I've never thought anyone was special enough to let that close to me and take that leap with. Things just had to feel right for me and right now they do. If it does last and we can build something good and happy together, then great. But if this doesn't work out in the long run, I feel like I already have shared such a special connection and such funny and fond memories with someone wonderful that I can look back on it all as something that was worthwhile.

In youth capricorns are unfinished. Like a wine, the mellow and open up with age and experience unless they have some kinda of lucky aspect combo I am currently not good enough to read.

Capricorns go for their saturnine, earth impulses and pick love based on great sex.
They impulsively go for ambition and appearance and end up with people too shallow for them to tolerate

A full swing negative cap is cold in emotion , hot in bed. Secretive. Noncommittal and nitpicky. They use judgmental "I'm right" attitude to bash the the imperfect partner into a mold. Weaker partners accede and become seeming perfect with passive aggressive resentment building up. More firey or shallow partners bail. Most successful young cap marriages had a very patient and intuitive partner that puts up with the "growing pains". and with luck teh partner isn't worn to giving up before they are rewarded with what makes caps the best long term match for many.
Or had a Cap that was able to accept the mate AS-IS. NO expectations of change. No enforced patronymic demands. and there fore they flaked away or became better while supported with no guilts to be justified by attacking them.

Caps are kinda of Eyeores. Specially the episode when Eyeore decided he would be Tigger for a day.
You can really rain on the parade of a idealistic sign or one still in its testing phase. Looking to assign blame is bad when it is not black or white. Sometimes.. shit really does "just happen" with no action or inaction of the two partners being the cause.

Positive caps are good providers, good parents, loyal, affectionate and secluded in family time even while dynamic in the work world.

My guy is drinkin lately to put a Taurus to shame as a wuss! He had a phase like that in his life maybe 10 years ago too.
But it can be disconcerting to watch someone gulp down an entire case alone in one setting!!!
He gained 50 lbs this past 3 months. And no it wasn't my cookin! I only gained 10 and know where I got it. BEER.
The location tells what it was too. Right around up front above the hip... Spare Tire.. aka beer belly. Soon as Mr. Scale told me that 10 lbs was there I cut down toot sweet. I can't keep up anyway. I come from a long line of alkies but I can't put away that much of ANY liquid!!

This past 24 months have been 2-3 on Fri/4 ea on SAT... until end April. He has also been stressed, crabby and almost impossible til just this weekend since about March. Its kinda hard on the ol gurl here. At least it hasn't spilled over onto my autistic toddler. HE is still #1 dad there.

Slow committment is another reason, just as you think "this is THE one" that person thinks, I have invested too much and is packed to bail.
And The Caps are confused and heartbroken saying "But I really loved so and so! They missed out! They must have never cared!"

I am all for being careful and getting loose ends tied before becoming combined. To a point. as that song says... if you like it so much, then put a ring on it.
You can rarely have your cake (monogomous, trustworthy, stable caring, nuturing repectful mate) and eat it too (no worry of reputation, no care of if the combined assets go kaput upon a death or separation, trust that hard times and the no fun days won't cause a bailout, that person be all that instead of shallow and into their own pursuits).
The same thing that makes a person nuturing and supportive, makes them also committal, wanting family and needing some emotional attention.
ie-career women never give all. Or they wouldn't have been able to swing a career. Doh! and trophy wives don't do sports, PTA and sacrifice.

So that "high standard" which is PERFECTIONISM- therefore impossible to fill- is the main reason why Caps are often lonely and single in the wreckage of several relationships gone awry.

all the caps i know are very much taken. it seems the men have more luck though. the men i know have been in well established (one being married) LTR's for years.

the one female cap, however, is so picky that she can't seem to keep one. she's completely straight-edge which complicates things. meaning her men also have to be. no beer after work for her man. i keep telling her that if she would move out of that small go-nowhere town and move to the city she would be able to find a much more diverse population of ppl to fit her lifestyle. she complains how there's nothing to do there except hang out and get drunk in dive bars, which is true (i grew up there), but if she were to move to the city she would find there are a lotta ppl involved in activities/hobbies that don't include drinking. then again, there are a lot of health nuts here who are very active and she is, well, not so much. she's kind of overweight and likes to watch reality TV. oh well! a lot of ppl here are so busy they don't have time to watch TV and most flat out choose not to!
