Could be OK, especially if one of you or both have ascendants or moons that are in each others sign or element. But of course there's the composite chart as well. Many textbooks say that long lasting relationships have important planets in angular houses (in the composite chart i mean); the more, the better. I can only subscribe that from my own experience. In fact there's so much to consider in comparisons. Where is her mars? And does it describe you by sign, aspects, houses? I have found my mars to be even more important in my partner choice than my sun sign. My mars is in pisces, and I've always ended up with artists & musicians of all sorts - who usually happened to be alcoholics as well. On the other hand, I always feel immediate and long lasting attraction for guys who's ascendant is conjunct my sun or venus. Or if they have planets that fall into my first house.

Anyway, the only way to find out after all is to go for it!
